LA SCALA NEWS
2nd Quarter 2006 from Andrew Fentiman (603)
The 2006 hurricane season (June through November) began suddenly with T.S. Alberto sweeping up from the Keys. We only got a lot of wind and rain, so we were lucky. Now, summer’s almost-daily afternoon thunderstorms are upon us again. The lakes are filling up once more, and everything is looking very green. Our fingers are crossed that we won’t be visited by a hurricane for the 3rd year in a row!

HOUSE-KEEPING – The building is now out of warranty and so, as unit owners, we are now responsible for any repairs in our units ☺ All workers must be signed in, either at the parking garage desk or at the front desk; undocumented workers in the building put us all at liability risk ☺ One shopping cart is still missing. Anyone? ☺ As per the fire code, nothing can be stored in mechanical closets. No mats outside service doors and nothing to be stored or left in the back-of-house area ☺ The Mail Room notice board is the place to look for messages, meetings, announcements, etc. And don’t forget to also use/look at the La Scala Web Forum www.lascalaatthecolony.com/smf ☺
ENGINEERING REPORT – The final report has been handed over to WCI and they are examining it. The Board and our engineer expect to meet with WCI shortly, to start negotiations.
